At CSS, testing complies with relevant Australian Standard AS1012 and the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) against International Standard ISO 17025. CSS has a strong track record with NATA and we take great pride in our approach and processes. We test to VICROADS Section 610 if required. We can test concrete produced by any supplier and maintain all your test data on the one system.

CONCRETE MIX DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY

 

At our Campbellfield facility, we operate an independent laboratory dedicated to research and development in concrete mix design technology. We partner with concrete and admixture suppliers to design, test, and optimise mixes through systematic trial programs — evaluating strength, workability, durability, and cost efficiency across locally sourced materials. Our team develops tailored programs to assess new and emerging materials, support VicRoads mix accreditation, and ensure compliance with AS 1379 and AS 3600.  With a strong focus on sustainable innovation, we help our partners push the boundaries of mix design technology — delivering performance-driven solutions that meet the evolving demands of modern construction.

SPECIALIST CONSULTING SERVICES

Construction projects are complex undertakings which often face interrelated or conflicting requirements in relation to concrete performance and sometimes there are issues which need a specialised assessment.
